BVI'S FIRST MULTI-DAY
VIRTUAL EVENT
Broadsword produced a three-day virtual show for the BVI Charter Yacht Society. With most of the BVI-based crewed yachts unable to attend the annual Fall Charter Yacht Show, the event had to go virtual. The aim of the show was for yacht brokers to tour the yachts and meet the crews.
"Alastair, of Broadsword Communications, took a simple idea and ran with it way beyond our imagination."
Janet Oliver, executive director, BVI Charter Yacht Society
LIVE & VIRTUAL
APPEARANCES
Broadsword developed the format which included three days of streaming from a studio where each participating yacht presented a 10-minute tour of their yacht and then answered questions from attending brokers; the tours were either live from their yachts in other parts of the world, or pre-recorded videos. Brokers were able to submit questions via a Q&A section. Each yacht’s slot was 30 minutes.
Attendance was through a password-protected web site developed by Broadsword, with the daily show streaming live, no Zoom invites and links! The web site featured all the participating yachts, sponsor and vendor videos.
As well as the yacht presentations, the daily show featured appearances from local supported charities, yoga breaks, BVI GIN Cocktail Competition, and Virtual Vendors Night.
16 HOURS OF STREAMING
The event streamed for 16 hours over the three-day show. At the end of each day, the entire’s day show was available on-demand together with each yachts 30-minute appearance on their own page.
